Light Installations

In 2001 when I began to write about my wartime experiences, I worked closely with the International Commission for Missing Persons (ICMP) to attempt to trace my friend Damir Marjanović’s father. I documented the ICMP’s search and their vast DNA identification project; the first of its kind which has since been rolled out in other warzones to identify the missing.

Perhaps as a result, in 2003 I began to make a series of light installations using epoxy resin into which I embedded objects including X-Rays, money, crabs, scorpions …
